Eureka International Certificate Course in Translational Medicine
Eureka International Certificate Course in Translational Medicine
The EUREKA Institute for Translational Medicine aims to develop a community of top translational medicine professionals equipped to catalyze the application of discoveries for the benefit of human health. Apart from building an international, multidimensional and multidisciplinary network this is accomplished through education. Once a year the Eureka Institute organizes it’s International Certificate Program where young researchers can gain knowledge, train the skills and develop the tools necessary for turning an idea into a successful product, e.g. how to set up a clinical trial? / how do you apply for a patent? / how to get a company to launch your idea?
The next International Certificate Program will take place from 15 – 21 October, 2023 in Siracusa (Sicily), Italy. Course topics include: clinical trial design, funding and intellectual property protection and development.
Eureka is not only about gaining knowledge about the process of translational medicine, it is especially about what it takes to be successful: critical thinking, problem solving strategies, collaborating and personal development. Students are mentored by internationally recognized leaders. The exciting varied program with an international group of emerging leaders in translational medicine and renowned established academics and educators in Siracusa’s beautiful surroundings will inspire and stimulate you to really make a change. As part of the partnership between UMC Utrecht and the Eureka Institute, we can send off 4 of our most talented researchers to Sicily to participate in the 2023 program. The tuition is covered by UMCU and includes course materials, all lunches, breaks, and transportation from and to the Catania International Airport. The cost of the airline ticket is at the participant’s own expense, yet often subject to reimbursement with the employee’s department/division.
